This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The majority of the students in my classroom come from low-income homes, but their love of learning continues! Each day, I am excited to see them learn something new or achieve something they weren't previously able to. I am asking for gift cards to help purchase grade-level resources that include activities for my Prek students; these fun and creative activities from Teachers Pay Teachers It is an excellent resource for teachers to find fun ways to celebrate all the hard work the students have done and the end of the year.

June would be much more fun if we had some games and activities to practice all the skills we have learned all year.

I would also like to send some fun activities home with each student to practice over the summer months. It would be fantastic for each student to end the year with a book.

We would love to reward each student with a book of high-quality literature/picture books at the end of our school year. We want to give each student books with characters who remind them of themselves. The books we have researched have main characters who are Latino or African-American. These characters go through experiences that many of our students do.
