Through project literacy, students were able to retell popular stories and nursery rhymes at our library center. In the future I plan to continue using the book maker to make other books. At our large group circle, the alphabet cards were used to make a word wall for words we learned related to the unit.Students would reference the word wall image when talking about themes in the classroom. \r\n\r\nThanks to the student notebooks. Students were able to write their own stories at the writing center. With our new lamination machine we would be able to display student work for our dance shows as part of the decorations and save it as memories for families. Having themed costumes, Hawaiian flowers and skirts, liquid tiles, basketballs, props, binoculars, will allow my students to express emotions, build social and language skills, and have fun as they become the characters in the dance. The gym tape would be used to mark the lines and students spacing on the stage floor. All students should get the opportunity to fully explore music, dance, and art. To be able to cross connect their experiences with curriculum is invaluable! Also having the opportunity to do this helps students to see themselves in the context, which makes the learning have more meaningful context. \r\n\r\nThe students were elated when they were first presented with the materials. One exclaimed \"Pretty shiny for the dress I gonna make!\" Another said, \"I get to be a Rockette soldier too! I tap dance!\" With these materials, I was able to provide an unforgettable learning experience for my students. \r\n\r\nAt the end of our unit, we put on a performance for the parents of my students.
