My Students

Do you remember what it felt like to read a book that you couldn't put down? I want my students to experience that same feeling by reading books that will educate, and nurture their minds. For those students who are visual, detailing the character's names and plot lines on a bulletin board is vital.

My students are diverse in nationality and economic status.

Almost 40% of my students are on free or reduced lunches. By providing vital reading materials and bulletin boards, you are feeding and cultivating students' minds and hearts. Students rely on teachers to help them comprehend and retain information. As a result, teachers should make their classroom learning environment a place that is comfortable and open for the learning process.

My Project

I am requesting 10 copies of "Anna Karenina" and a bulletin board because these are two vital components of my teaching style. Whenever my students are reading a new book I chronicle the characters in the book and plot lines on a bulletin board which stays up until we finish the book. This helps students retain the information and is a constant support of what is being taught. This is why I have requested a bulletin board and a set of the "Anna Karenina" books.

Again, I need a bulletin board and these books.

I am a new teacher and I have had to buy all of my supplies this year! By having the bulletin board and a set of Anna Karenina you will help cultivate the important process of classroom learning.
