Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

It's amazing to finally start feeling like classrooms are returning to pre-pandemic norms. I have a range of students at varying levels this year, and am working to ensure I'm set up for this year and years to come!

A large group of students are ready to move into independent chapter book studies, and another group of students are working to become independent readers in general!

With this array of books to offer, I can ensure that Guided Reading groups stay differentiated to meet the needs of each student.

I'm excited to continue pushing a group of students toward 'reading to learn' rather than 'learning to read'. I'm also excited to engage my 'learning to read' students with books of interest to them, and to keep growing that love of reading!
