This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students and I have read the first book of this collection and we absolutely loved it! We only had a couple of books that I was able to purchase out of pocket. Still my students were very engaged and were so moved by Ragweed (the character) and his ability to persevere under harsh circumstances of being a mouse in a big town full of cats. It has taught my students to keep trying and never give up on their learning and finding solutions to their own problems.

My classroom would love to be able to continue reading the collection and access the content more closely with a partner so they can engage in a inquiry project on Ragweed's ability to overcome his obstacles.

My students will be so happy to be able to continue his journey and learn more way to overcome problems not just in the book but for themselves as humans.
