Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many students have a hard time reading on their own, and other students need help to focus. Though our school has been providing both Chromebooks and hotspots at no cost to families, the low cost of these items means that students sometimes experience poor connectivity which affects their ability to participate in class.

A quick fix for these issues would be to provide these students with more book options.

This would allow students to find a book that they are excited to come to school and read. Many of the students ask for more choices to keep them engaged, or they may have already read the book options available in class. SO providing them with books that match their interests would go a long way with keeping them engaged and growing as readers and learners!

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
