My Students

I teach first grade at a Title I school. Many of our families are economically challenged, which means students often lack the typical life experiences that help them build the background knowledge necessary for academic success. Nevertheless, they are very capable of learning and have a great desire to do so!

Together we "work hard and get smart"(our school motto)!

Despite this time of uncertainty, we will build a community that inspires and creates a love of learning and deep connections that will most certainly make us family. Please invest in our mission with your contribution. It is greatly appreciated.

My Project

My students need a comfy place to sit and read. We have carpet squares in our classroom library and they are cool, but we need a bench. I love this one because it's not only comfortable, but it stores books at the bottom!

Having a reading/book storage bench would not only encourage my students to read, but it would help cultivate a lifelong love for reading!

My students enjoy reading in our classroom library. This bench would be well-loved and appreciated.

I cannot wait to see my students' faces as they sit on this beautiful bench and read! This bench will definitely kick up the excitement for reading a notch!
