My Students

We are an inner city school, where almost 50% of our students receive free or reduced price lunch. Our school has fabulous families, a superstar staff, a caring community, and most importantly, amazing kids! Each day these kids come to school with big smiles on their faces, huge hugs to share, and loads of enthusiasm!

Some of my students travel by bus, a great distance, to be able to learn at our school.

I want to provide the materials needed to engage my students at the level they deserve!

My Project

My students are AVID readers. We have well over 1000 books in my classroom! However, they are currently a mess! We don't have enough storage to properly organize these great books. We need the mobile book library and book bins so that students are able to go to our library and easily find the book they are looking for. It would also make our class librarian job easier to manage with this organization. I want to continue to instill this love of reading in my classroom and I believe an organized space will help my readers to have a spot for each of their special books.
