I teach at a Title I school and most of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Most of my students are English Language Learners. For many of my students, this is their first experience in a classroom setting.
My students are hard working and enthusiastic learners!
They are excited about coming to school and love learning. Kindergarten is a very special grade and I want to provide a memorable experience for my students. I love watching their confidence grow as the year progresses.
My Project
My students absolutely beam with confidence whenever they come to the front of the classroom to share their work, especially their writing. Having a set of different colored card stock will allow my Kindergarten students to publish colorful books.
Being able to pick their favorite color for their card stock book cover will definitely make their books that much more special.
I would like my students to have creative control of exactly how their books will look for these hand written stories that we will publish throughout the school year. They love writing stories and I know these brightly colored book covers will inspire them to write even more!
