My Students

My students are joyful, curious, and empathetic and so very excited about learning. At our school, the learning approach focuses on developing and nurturing the whole child through multiple dimensions of student achievement: a commitment to the mastery of knowledge and skills, character development, high-quality student work, and family and community engagement.

My Project

These books are going to be used in book clubs and for reading time in Turtle Crew! Students are so excited to read, collaborate and learn together during this time. I am excited to introduce new books to all students.

With these new books, my students will be able to take part in books clubs focused on both fiction and nonfiction texts.

They will also be able to choose books that interest them. Turtle Crew students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
