My students are eager to use technology to meet their learning goals in innovative ways. They are ready to design, build, make decisions, and problem solve. They are curious and want to take charge of their learning. They love to be hands-on and collaborate with others. They like to find answers to their questions, argue with the evidence, and make models. They use crosscutting concepts like patterns, and cause and effect in science lessons. They are note-takers, journalists, and documenters of science.
My students are the future.
They are innovators and will become the engineers, teachers, doctors, and leaders of tomorrow.
These students work well with others and learn from real-life experiences. We are partners in learning here at our school.
My Project
Many of the titles I am seeking are historical fiction novels. Exploring history through fiction creates opportunities for discussions in book clubs and class book sets. This will not only help my 33 students, but our grade level, as well, as we teach World Changes and Revolutions in our Social Studies curriculum.
As I prepare my sixth graders to enter seventh grade, they need more experience using calculators.
Calculators will help speed up their computation and allow me to assess their knowledge of the concepts.
Lastly, we use our chrome books to complete assignments and projects. Having earbuds with a microphone will allow my students to complete more engaging projects on their chrome books.
