Our students come from a high poverty, culturally diverse neighborhood. They are always very appreciative of any support or help we receive from the community: whether it is a read a loud read by a "celebrity" from our area, or book donations or hand knitted hats and mittens to help keep them warm.
We are often in need of replacing consumable items.
Our students depend on us to supply, backpacks, school supplies, meals, socks, underwear, weekend food bags, tooth brushes, along with many other consumable items that shouldn't be a luxury.
Our reading program requires students to reread books as part of their guided reading program. The bags are a consumable product that often needs replacing because they rip, become soiled or have been misplaced.
These bags are colorful, durable and can be personalized.
This would be a wonderful addition to have for our reading program. We currently do not have enough bags for our intervention students. They are using bags that are very used looking and filthy. I think these bags are more hygienic and each student could have their own, new bag. Books are a necessity to our reading program and we value them and they are expensive to replace. These bags would be greatly appreciated!
