My Project

My Kindergarten and First grade students love to check out books from the library. Most of them call me "the Book Lady" because the word Librarian is too hard to pronounce when they have front teeth already missing. As the "Book Lady", the most important task I have is to make sure that great library books make it into the hands of my little scholars and make it home safely to be shared with family.

Research posted from the Science Daily, states that there can be up to a "million-word gap" for children who are not being read to at home versus those who are.

This statement speaks volumes and dictates the importance of making sure my little scholars are reading and being read to at home.

The Book Buddy Bags I am requesting are colorful poly bags made with snap-shut plastic handles. These bags are the perfect size for little hands excited about carrying library books home to read.
