My Students
Our students are fantastic! Despite living in an area of high poverty and dealing with home issues that create stress and are overwhelming, they come to school every day and work their hardest to be the best students they can be. They are learning to change their mindset and set goals for their academics, and they are choosing kindness and determination as pathways to their individual and group successes. All of us work together daily in an effort to meet the needs of everyone, by creating a positive learning environment where all students feel safe, welcome, and strive to be the best they can be!
My Project
My students need some new book choices to help practicing their love of reading. These new and engaging grade level appropriate books will give my students more reading options in the classroom.
Loving to read creates lifelong Learners. These new titles will help build my students love of being literate learners. Having a well stocked classroom library gives students immediate reading options when they can't get to a public library or school library for books. These new titles keep kids interested and waiting for the next book in the series, and create an excitement around reading that surrounds all of us in the classroom.
