My students are hardworking, determined and curious.
They have a thirst for learning even coming from a low socioeconomic background. At least 70% of my students get free and reduced lunch. Despite their challenges they come to school ready and eager to learn each and every day.
My Project
Students will use the boards daily in student learning communities. They will write sight words, sentences, and complete various phonemic awareness activities. Students will also be able to utilize these during math stations as well. They will collaborate with one another while both solving and creating math problems.
These boards will allow students to use a different format to master their math and literacy Indiana Academic Standards.
Focus will be increased and interest heightened as students begin to explore and use these. Not only will the academic standards be met but these boards will also increase collaboration and communication among students. The sky is the limit!
