My Students

I teach in a high poverty school with students of various socio-economic statuses in upstate New York. My school is diverse and amazing!

Many of my students are struggling learners.

My students come from a variety of different backgrounds consisting of single parent homes, homes with both parents, and ones that are new to the country and do not speak any English. I strive to find ways to motivate my students by making learning fun, engaging, exciting, and interesting! My students will benefit greatly from these as a resource to assist them academically.

My Project

I am in need of these Boogie Boards for my students. These boards will be used daily in both math and reading. They will allow the students to solve problems independently or in small groups. They will also be beneficial for reading, as students can write responses to questions asked.

This is a great way to motivate my students to complete any assignment and have fun while doing it!

They will be more engaged using this type of technology. Many of my students are below grade level and need extra guidance and support. These boards will help me see which students understand the material. They will be great for learning!
