Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students will have a blast at their end of the year party. They will be super excited to know that we will celebrate their journey into high school. Special needs students are very caring and they show unconditional love towards their teachers and peers. They show so much excitement when they are rewarded with a fun experience such as a party.
My goal for my students is that they will also have the opportunity to learn social skills through the games that they will play together and when they receive the gifts, it will show the students that gift giving is a way of showing affection and caring for one another.
My students often don't get celebrated as often as they should, and this project will give us the opportunity to show them that they are valued and appreciated.
My students are very special individuals that deserve to be rewarded for their achievements and hard work. Students with disabilities have unique strengths and abilities, and should be valued and celebrated every day.
