Although I teach students with all sorts of abilities, these students are the most eager to learn. \r\n\r\nEvery day, our students walk through our doors and we know their background, we know where they are coming from and we make sure to greet them with a smile, a hug, a fist pump and make sure they know we are happy to see them.\r\n\r\nBy funding this project, you have allowed me to work even closer with my students. Because you invested in my students they have learned to keep their work area clean. They have worked in teams to ensure that the whole classroom is clean before beginning another activity. \r\n\r\nWe arrive each day ready and eager to learn in a classroom that's clean, smells good, and they are definitely ready to engage. You have made more a difference than we can explain and definitely MORE of a difference than what pictures can show. The students enjoy their daily living class so much more when they can actually do hands on lessons rather than just watch videos. The items like the toaster, dish soap and popcorn machine are essential tools needed for living skills.\r\nMy students were so excited to use the items. They were eager to try them out. You could see in their faces that they were anxious to try out their new equipment.\r\nThe class lesson is more interesting when they can learn hands on, it is so important for my special needs students because they learn valuable skills that will teach them how to be more independent at home. Their faces light up when they learn how to use different appliances and cook and clean. They are learning real life skills that are very important. Future students will use them for a long time!
