My Students
My students are remarkable! They come from an environment that expects excellence, and they do not fail to achieve such. They push me to sharpen my skills and to be a better teacher by seeking to learn more than average students.
We are a Title I school district, but our high school does not receive much funding.
The year before last, a fire destroyed our French textbooks and curriculum resources. This was no fault of my students, and they deserve the opportunity to have quality materials that continue to push them towards excellence!
My Project
This reader is designed to reinforce vocabulary and grammar structures already learned in French while introducing new vocabulary. This approach builds confidence in the reader to use the language more naturally. The teacher interacts with students concerning the reading in French to encourage students to use the language in spoken form. Everyone loves a pet, so reading about Brandon Brown wanting a dog is sure to spark much conversation! Voila! The goal of every world language class! Students can use these books at home or in the classroom to become more confident of their French skills.
