My students are amazing and inspiring but unable to effectively communicate their wants and needs to those of us who desperately want to help them! I teach six students with multiple disabilities. Two are visually impaired, one is hearing impaired, three have seizure disorders and one has an undiagnosed neurological condition.

I would love to have a communication system which would improve my students' chances of communicating their most basic needs and feelings. Now, we have to guess if they are sad or sick or just plain exhausted. It would be absolutely wonderful if we could teach them symbols and words which would help them communicate with their teachers, peers and parents!

The Mayer Johnson Boardmaker Plus! would be an ideal solution to our dilemma. With the printable symbols, the students would be able to point to what they want, need or how they feel. With this particular edition, the students could practice what they have learned through interactive lesson. For follow-up and review, they could practice their lessons at school, then take the lessons home in order to show their parents what they are learning.

You will make it possible for my students to begin a lifelong effort of communication. They are an amazing, awesome and inspiring group of young people. I would like them to be able to communicate this to everyone who comes into contact with them!
