This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In the post-pandemic classroom, it can be especially difficult to keep kids engaged in lessons, particularly when teachers are competing with video games. After attending a professional development on "gamifying" lessons, I am very excited to try this with my students.

Board games will be embedded into learning activities.

Students will be given opportunities either individually or in teams to have a turn in a game after completing a task. This will increase engagement by adding an element of fun and competition and by encouraging students to track their own progress.
