This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am Brad Rodrigues (or King Rod as I am known in my kingdom), and the citizens of my empire are in desperate need of non-tech-related fun. Having students play board, and card games allow them to have a shared, in-person experience with others around them. It also promotes low-stakes socializing, leading to new friendships and increased communication skills.

We take fun very seriously in The Kingdom and need your help.

My students have created a list of wanted board games. However, it has become too expensive for me to keep up over the years, replenishing this stock. As an educator, I spend about $500 of my salary each year on materials, and this is one we sorely need that I cannot provide.

My cohort, the URI Rams, had the idea of sending this up on GoFundMe to see if any donations would be offered to help us in our quest of in-person social fun time. We'd greatly appreciate any bit that you could give!
