Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My class is just one of five fifth-grade classrooms and my school serves students from grades PK-5. My class is full of creative and kind students that inspire me every day. My goal is to be the best teacher I can be and provide them with the tools they need. We focus on making relationships and our classroom community so we all can succeed!
My class is made up of 67 bright and active students.
They are each different in personality and ability and I strive to differentiate my teaching to support those needs. They come every day, ready to learn and all have a desire to learn more. They soak up so much every day and I want to extend their knowledge as much as possible!
My Project
It is always my goal as a reading teacher to foster a love of reading and learning in my classroom. My students get so excited when there are new books for them to get their hands on to expand their minds and grow their imaginations.
I want my students to have access to this year's Bluebonnet Books to show them diverse and imaginative texts.
This list of nonfiction and fiction texts will help my students read and enjoy new characters and stories and also learn about real life. I wish for my students to have these stories to take home and share with their families and friends. My goal is always to broaden their minds and horizons and I believe these books will do just that!
