Mrs. Sanders from Kansas City MO is requesting instructional technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need durable headphones for use with Chromebooks and iPads to help improve achievement in Reading and Math. These 3rd-5th grade students work in small groups on technology programs on a daily basis.

I work in an urban Title 1 School in downtown Kansas City, MO. The school has a limited budget. Most students in my school do not have books, technology, or everyday school supplies in their homes. Their neighborhoods are not always safe or supportive of education. Their life experiences are very limited for growing up feeling secure and learning at their full potential. Our school is raising funds to purchase kid friendly headphones that will hold up to everyday wear and tear from children. The headphones will be used in iPads and Chromebooks with Reading and Math programs that help raise student achievement. 5 headphones will be purchased for each 3rd-5th grade classroom for students to share in small group activities. We want to make learning a memorable experience with quality supplies.
Each 3rd through 5th grade class will receive 5 pairs of durable headphones that can be used in a small technology group. Students will be sharing the headphones and taking them in and out of devices throughout the day.
Having durable and hypoallergenic headphones will help these technology areas run smoothly and help improve academic achievement in Reading and Math.
The small groups will use iPads and Chromebooks to work on research based programs in reading and math to help improve their achievement levels within the classroom. The will also use the headphones for project based learning activities in their groups.
