My Students

I have the privilege of teaching at a *new* elementary school in Washington, D.C. for the 2018-19 school year. I will be shifting to a third-grade position, where we will be focused on our writing skills and STEM integration. I am excited to meet my new community and truly phenomenal students. I have no doubt my new class will come to school each morning full of energy, questions, and wonder.

My new school is a newly appointed STEM school, and I am working with the STEM coordinator to amp up the classroom environment and bring our 3rd graders minds to life!

My Project

Since we are a newly appointed STEM school, it is important to have materials that support our school initiative. During typically unstructured time such as indoor recess, and choice time, it would be wonderful to have some materials that support our students developing STEM skills.

Blocks Rock is not your average building block kit - this one includes task cards and timers for a peer-to-peer challenge aspect!

Blocks Rock is designed to bring a competitive edge to building and problem solving. These kits promote healthy competition, teamwork (if used as pairs), and quick problem solving. Having Blocks Rock will also support our study of 3-D shapes! What a great game!
