This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The blocks center in our classroom helps enhance our students' creativity and their imaginations. It is the most popular center in our classroom and the one where imaginations run wild. Our students love to build homes, bridges, different landmarks (thanks to our visuals), and castles for their princes and princesses! The problem? There aren't enough blocks in our Blocks center for three students to build. Not only do they get to build, but they get to learn mathematics as they do so. We get to discuss the blocks they are using, what they look like, how they stand, how many they need to use, and how tall of a building they can create. The Blocks I am requesting will help with this and will allow them to each build their individual masterpiece.

My goal for this project is to provide students with an enriched blocks center where their imagination can run wild and their buildings can be as tall as they'd like them to be!

My students are special because they are unique and intelligent architects that put their hearts and soul into what they want to create in Blocks and every other center. They deserve to have the items needed for their creations.
