I am always looking for new and innovative ways to meet each and every one of my students' diverse learning styles. One way I do that, is by having a large selection of texts for students to choose from.
Many of my fifth grade students might not have an abundance of financial resources, but what they do have is an abundance of curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, especially when it involves reading.
My students are very diverse learners. Recent test scores shows them at various levels, with some well below grade level, while others are scoring high above grade level norms. Some of them need additional support to learn the English language, and some of them need additional support to become strong mathematicians.
I am running an after-school Kindness Club. The students involved in the club will be making our school and local community better, by helping others through Random Acts of Kindness. One "mission" that our club will be working on, is making blankets for dogs and cats in local animal shelters.
In a world where you can be anything, be kind.
We are asking for your support to purchase fabric, fabric scissors and books about animal rescue.
We will use the fabric to make blankets for the shelter animals. We will take a day to visit a local shelter and give our blankets to the shelter.
