This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year we are putting our Black History Month focus on the impact of Black Music Through History! Classroom teams were invited to submit either a poster, video or performance piece to be presented as a musical style celebration taking place on February 29, 2024.

We need help funding our costumes, props and lighting to bring some theater magic to this beautiful celebration of joy!

Our students LOVE performing and music is a universal and accessible way to integrate all our students. We want to highlight the contributions and impacts of Black musicians throughout history beginning from the 1900's to present day. What better way to get excited about it than to ensure they are dressed to impress and are well lit so parents are able to rejoice in their accomplishments?
