Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Throughout February students will be learning about important contributions made to the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics by prominent black Americans. During math and social studies students will learn about these important figures by researching online, reading articles and investigating non-fiction books.

Students will display their research by creating visually attractive posters that will be presented to the school during our black history month celebration.

Posters will include the early life of their figure and contributions to the STEM field made throughout their life.

Black history month is an important time for all students to reflect on important contributions black Americans have made in history, and the work that continues today!
