My Project

My students are going to love the Black History Month Read In. We've done a read in day, but never focused on a topic before. Black History Month is a great focus for our reading. All the authors will be own voices. Students will learn about a people through their own interests as they select books for the day from titles like those in this bundle. I'm especially excited about the Bold Women in history book.

Please give new books for our Black History Read In; books with characters that look like they do.

We also love learning about new cultures and traditions. These books will be a great addition. Each celebrates an own voice author and will add to the voice of African and African-American students representation in our library books.
