My Project

I teach fifth grade at a small, neighborhood Title One school. One hundred percent of my students are African American. All of my student receive free breakfast and lunch.

I would like to give my students high quality books about African American history.

It is important that my students learn about the history of people who took risks to give us the freedoms that we enjoy today. My students need to learn that they can also have a positive impact in our community, state, nation, and world.

My students are eager and ready to learn.
