My Project

My students are always asking questions: Who was he? What made her special? Is she still alive? Who was the first person to do this? When was he alive? These books will help answer their many questions and help guide students' research about important figures from history.

Students have to see diverse heroes from history to be inspired by.

They have to know where they came from and that their dreams are possible. These books will be available in my classroom library for students to read, and for other teachers to borrow. These books will also be available for my 4th graders when they are selecting a figure from history to create a painting series about during a project inspired by artist Jacob Lawrence. These books will provide so much more than paragraphs on a page or a Wikipedia article can for students who want to see history!
