Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year, I have the honor of serving as an Instructional Coach working with teachers and students in grades K-2. For students in these critical early elementary school grades, exposure to quality instruction is critical in creating a life-long love of learning. My goal is to have students enter as little kids and emerge as articulate thinkers. Our diverse learners come from a variety of backgrounds, yet come together to create a community that is unique to our school.

Our neighborhood and school are unique, with over 90% of students in families considered economically disadvantaged, 95% of families receiving public assistance, and many families living in temporary housing.

However, we have heart in abundance.

Our students are already striving for success! While they may be young, they are already looking toward the future. The Bronx is only the beginning. Your support is appreciated.

My Project

School is back in session and we’re in person and ready to learn! With the return to schools comes a return to project based learning!

Through project based learning, our K-2 students will have a hands on opportunity to collaborate, research and explore how Black History becomes Black Excellence - and your generosity can help make this project a reality!

Your donation will help to fund a library of rich text that delves into concepts of Black History and Black Excellence for our students to participate in this learning.

Thank you so much for your consideration!
