My students are a diverse group of learners from the South Bronx. The purpose of the Melrose School/PS 29X, as the cornerstone of a lifelong learning community, is to make all learners academically prepared, self-reliant, curious, thoughtful of others, respectful and capable of using their learning to succeed in life and be positive contributors to society and family. As a K-2 Instructional Coach, I strive to work alongside teachers in creating a community of learners who are actively engaged readers, writers, mathematicians, thinkers, and problem solvers. My role is to support teachers in helping students to achieve these goals. It is a privilege to work alongside teachers to help them know their students well, plan and implement instruction, and use their data to support their diverse learners. Your support in creating a school of lifelong learners is greatly appreciated.
