This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
As a new teacher this school year, I am very excited to meet my first group of students! I want to be able to give these kids the best year of biology that I possibly can. My students come from an impoverished area in North Miami. Many of them have limited literacy and mathematics skills in addition to challenging home lives. In my room I want them to be completely comfortable and have everything they need. I want it to be a paradise from the chaotic world they often face at home. I hope to instill a passion for learning about our natural world and about life in general so they may have the brightest of futures.
I am looking for supplies to make my classroom comfortable, interesting, and facilitative of learning.

My Project
Hello everyone! As a first year teacher I am in need of lots of basic supplies. I want my classroom to be the most interesting and facilitative for learning. These basic supplies will help to achieve this! With your help, I will have the best classroom that students are excited to enter and learn in every single day!
There are several basic supplies on my list, things such as staplers, markers, binders, etc.
I am teaching in a school where a large population has a low socio-economic status. Due to this fact I want to have back-up supplies for those students whose families may not be able to get these supplies themselves.
