This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are a career-focused school. One of our career strands focuses on healthcare occupations. One of the main objectives in my biology class is to help students understand the main concepts in biology which they will build upon when they take their healthcare-focused classes.

The lab supplies I have requested will be used to give students hands-on learning opportunities.

These opportunities allow them to engage with biology concepts in the context of real-world applications and get them used to laboratory procedures which will benefit them when they go on to lab courses in college.

Items such as heat lamp bulbs, calculators, safety glasses, paper, and various reactants for labs, will make it possible for us to conduct lab experiments throughout the school year.
