Having this technology helps make the counseling process more engaging and personalized.\r\nStudents are most excited about being able to explore their future plans in a more hands-on way. They enjoy using the laptop to take career interest surveys, research colleges, and connect their goals with real opportunities. Many are also excited to use digital tools for reflection activities and presentations that showcase their strengths and achievements.\r\nYes—some of my students who are unsure about their post–high school plans have really embraced using the laptop. For example, one student who felt overwhelmed about the college process has used it to research schools, compare programs, and begin applications with confidence. Others who prefer visual or interactive tools are now more engaged in career planning and social-emotional lessons. One student who usually stays quiet during discussions has been writing full pages each day—thoughts they've never shared out loud before but are finding a voice for in writing.\r\n\r\nThese notebooks have quickly become the foundation of our daily routine. Students are experimenting with storytelling, reflecting on personal experiences, and even sketching ideas for bigger writing pieces. It's giving them a safe, consistent space to build stamina and fluency while also letting them take risks with their voice.\r\n\r\nThe next step is channeling this momentum into longer projects. Right now, we're working on turning short journal entries into polished explanatory and argumentative essays. Students will look back at their daily writing, pull out strong ideas, and expand them into pieces that show how their thinking and writing skills have grown. The weight and softness of him really grounds you when you are overwhelmed and allows the students to feel better more quickly. \r\nI also received the cleansing wipes and tissues just in time for all the sickness that winter brings. \r\nYou really do make such an impact to our students school day by your donations. Having a laptop available for my students is invaluable. So much of today's world requires a device and internet.
