The students in the Digital Photography Club would like to learn how to take great pictures and to express themselves artistically. Our school does not have the equipment or software needed to provide them this opportunity. The skills that students will acquire from practicing with real cameras and with Adobe Elements software will also give them marketable skills that they can indicate on a resume. Since Adobe Photoshop is cost prohibitive, Photoshop Elements is a great alternative. Students will be able to master the same skills, but in a more user-friendly program. Having this equipment will provide many opportunities for our students to increase their skill set and allow them to express themselves artistically. Our school does not offer photography classes, and the art classes that are offered do not include graphic manipulation technology. The camera and Photoshop Elements will allow students access to another facet of education and allow them training in art and visual/graphical expression, that can give them a better chance in achieving their goals.
