Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is located in a large urban district. All of the students receive free lunch. My students work hard and are super excited to learn. For many students, the library provides the only source of reading material for them. We try to encourage them to become lifelong readers. In order to do this, the library must be the heart of the school.

My library is in need of biography books that will benefit students.

My fourth grade teachers are requesting projects that promote reading, creativity and technology.

My Project

These materials will be used for the students to research a biography then complete a biography bottle buddy for the project. They will be using several resources to gather information about the person they select. Then they will create a slideshow about the person showing off their technology skills.

For the final component of this project, they will create a bottle buddy of that person to display in the library.

This project will give the students an opportunity to share what they learned with the school. The students will be able to show their creativity in several ways.
