My students are the kindest and most caring students you’d meet. These kids love to help others and are always looking for ways to lend a helping hand.
This group of kids is creative, inquisitive and they love to learn.
They come to class each day with a smile on their faces, ready to learn. My classroom is an inclusion classroom with a variety of student needs.
In our school, we strive to instill a growth mindset in our students. My kids know the value of the word “yet” when it comes to not understanding something. My students know that making mistakes is all part of learning!
The end of the year project for our fourth graders is a Living Wax Museum. Students are to choose a person their interested in, read a biography about that person, and then create a project that helps them display to the community what they learned at our Wax Museum.
The wide variety of biographies in this project will allow for our students to have the opportunity to choose to learn about someone that inspires them.
Whether students choose to research someone with a certain career, someone who plays a certain sport, or someone who impacted a cause important to them, the biography they choose will be personalized to them. The books from this project will hopefully cause each student to learn more about someone that will impact their own lives.
