Help me give my students a library of books that reflect who they are and inspire them to do great things.

My Students

I teach in a beautifully culturally diverse Title I School. I have 24 students who adore learning, but are facing the challenge of another unpredictable school year. I believe these students should have the opportunity to know that they are an important part of our community and that school can be a safe and stable place for them.

My Project

These wonderful books will continue to add to the beautiful library that reflects students backgrounds and interests. My students love independent reading, and have become very interested in particular people, time periods, and careers thanks to picture book biographies. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind.

With this beautiful addition to my classroom library, students will have more options of books at their reading level that reflect their interests.

Reading more is the best way to increase reading levels, and these books will help all students by introducing new vocabulary and piquing their interests to learn and read more. My students have already shown that they love to read, and this project will help introduce new concepts, ideas, vocabulary, career paths and more. I can't wait to see how these books help to inspire my third graders!
