My Project

Our district has wonderful science resources for teachers and students to use. I am a strong believer that science is learned best through labs and hands-on experiences so it’s great to have so many handouts and so much science lab equipment/materials but at times the sheer amount can be a little overwhelming.

Our classroom is in desperate need of a way to store and access all these important resources in a way that makes sense in our classroom.

Recently I had a storage unit funded on Donorschoose but now I am in need of bins to place in the slots. The idea that I have come up with is to give each lab group a drawer to house all their lab equipment for the day. Each drawer will be changed as we start new labs. These drawers are perfect because they can be carried to each lab station and then they can be slid right back into the base. The labels will help keep the bins organized with what is in there and which bin belongs to which group. The colors also correspond to each group color!
