Binders for Math!

Help me give my students binders to make them feel better about math. Binders will make my students more organized, help them feel better about finding supports, and will be a great way for them to show growth!

My Students

In our ICT classroom, we are explorers. Our mission is to explore different education subjects such as STEM activities. However, like many classrooms in NYC, we are a Title 1 school all the way in Coney Island. Not only are there a lack of opportunities but also a lack of easy access to school supplies, materials, new education ideas, and even museums because of location. Together with my students, I have tried to create a community where change comes from them.

Rather than go top down, I put the power in their hands to help plan our field trips and to put input for what our classroom activities will look like and I hope to fulfill their extraordinary ideas.

However, with that comes the need for support from the community and amazing people such as yourself. My students come from a myriad of backgrounds, stories, learning levels, family life and so do all of you. Which is why I set up this page so they can feel that support from people all over the world and understand that they do gives them a chance to succeed.

My Project

These binders are crucial for my students in math! I work in an ICT classroom and many of my students come from a low income home, so I will not ask them to purchase these binders. However, these binders are so important for them to start organizing for middle school, see their own growth, and have an easy access to their learning supports.

In an ICT classroom easy organization through binders is so important.

Though it seems small, these math binders will make a huge difference in how these students feel in the classroom and about math as a whole.
