Help me give my students a place where they can store their binders during the day and I can have easy access to them to place information for parents for that evening.
My students come from a small community, a country setting, migrant families and some totally Spanish speaking households. They range in their abilities to speak English and they have a variety of extracurricular interests from soccer, baseball and football, to Bible clubs, scouting and singing. They love to eat, talk with friends and learn fun facts about so many different things.
My students have a passion for their school, a growth mind set and are trying to live the vision of our school which is "Preparing today’s students for tomorrow’s possibilities" Fourth grade is a year of excitement and change and I sincerely hope that you will choose to be a part of it!
When students walk into my classroom and we all work together, I feel all things are possible and development is limitless while they are with me. I may not be able to control their home lives but I can certainly place them all in an environment where they can feel as equals in managing their skills, experiences and involvement during the school day. By doing this in a creative and positive way, I hope to inspire each and everyone.
My Project
Not only could my students use a space-saving way to store and organize their binders, I could use this storage unit for my students too. This rugged laminate center, which we need in fourth grade, will fit into any corner taking up very little space which is hard to come by in our classrooms. These shelves which are uniquely curved, keeps every binder in view to help me and my students see and locate each and every binder with easy access.
With this unit, my students will have a bit more room in their desk and hopefully, be more organized in both areas.
I have used the same binders in my room over and over. With a storage unit like this, that can continue to happen by keeping the binders nice and making them last even longer.
