Part of a normal childhood is riding your bicycle around the neighborhood. And the students at our high school want that so badly. But, as people that are new to the United States, their drive and enthusiasm only goes so far. There are financial barriers that make owning and maintaining a bicycle difficult.
Through the generosity of many kind neighbors, my students have been given bicycles that have potential but need work.
New parts will help refurbish these bikes and the tools will help students maintain them. The locks will ensure their hard work will stay safe overnight. With this project funded, my students can safely ride around their new communities
