My student leaders really felt proud of what they did because they dreamt it and then put it together without much of my help. Then at the event, so many students, mainly 9th graders who hadn't engaged much with school events, wanted to keep going because it was so fun. What is gungi? How do you play dakji? What is squid game? There was a lot of conversations happening and academic discourse that was promoting the English fluency of my English Language learning high schoolers.
