This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Right now, our robotics materials (thousands of small VEX IQ parts) are scattered across reused bookshelves, cardboard boxes, and shared containers. We spend too much class time searching for parts and not enough time building and learning.

This project will help us transform our robotics storage system by giving us drawer bin cabinets of multiple sizes for sorting pieces by function (motors, sensors, beams, connectors, etc.) We need stackable bins to keep each kit’s parts organized and portable and charging stations so students can safely charge their programmable robot brains and controllers.

These simple but powerful tools will allow our robotics students to work more efficiently, independently, and collaboratively, just like a real STEM lab.

Robotics teaches more than building: it teaches planning, organization, troubleshooting, and collaboration. With proper storage and access to working equipment, our students will spend more time learning and less time searching. This system will support dozens of teams across multiple class periods and allow us to reuse and maintain equipment year after year.
