My Students

Kindergarten is a time of wonder, exploration, and new adventures. For some students, kindergarten is their first formal school experience and their first time being away from home for an extended period of time.

Though just at the beginning of their school career, my students thirst for expanded horizons and knowledge.

Our fantastic school library supports their hopes and dreams. The early childhood center I teach at houses all the preschool and kindergarten students for the entire district. Our students come from diverse backgrounds, each with their own unique circumstances and world view.

My Project

Our COVID-19 safety procedures have caused many classroom procedures to change. One way this has played out in the Parker Center Library is in the organization of supplies students use. Shared supplies need to be frequently sanitized. This is complicated by the fact that students must also work while socially distanced from one another.

We need new bins and caddies to help us organize our shared library supplies.

These color coded bins and caddies will match our socially distanced seating areas. Having these new bins and caddies will help students when completing their work and cleaning up to transition to a new activity.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
