This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every day my bilingual kindergarten students are able to write about the letter of the week as well as write about the texts we are reading. To be able to have them write in journals would be wonderful! The inclusion of journals shows their extraordinary growth throughout the year and is wonderful to show and share with their parents and families. It would be so fabulous to have journals and pencils to add illustrations to use each day in our classroom! Having writing journals and pencils to illustrate in our bilingual kindergarten classroom would make a world of difference!

I would be able to share student growth with their parents and families in one journal rather than on loose-leaf-lined paper.
