Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is in a small community with a large population of Hispanic families. These parents are eager to read with their children, but often this is difficult because the books we provide are in English, and the families only speak Spanish.
We are eager to provide these families with a library of bilingual books that they can access and enjoy together.
My Project
AES has a high population of Hispanic families. Many parents in our school community are eager to read with their children, but are unable to because of the lack of books in both English and in Spanish. We want to create a parent resource library so reading together is accessible and encouraged! These books - a mix of fiction and non-fiction - are ones that we know both the child and parent would enjoy.
Help our school start a collection of interesting and engaging books that all families can enjoy.
